He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He started his work in sport in basketball, but soon afterwards appeared in the football club Widzew Łódź, of which he was president from 2008 to 2012. Between 2009 and 2016 he was a member of the Polish Football Association. In 2012 he became vice-president of Ekstraklasa S.A., and since 9 October 2017 he has continuously held the position of president of the company. During Animucki’s tenure, the Ekstraklasa has achieved records in terms of TV rights sales and marketing, and has developed technologically: matches can be watched in 4K UHD HDR technology, and it was the second league in Europe to launch its own video-streaming platform – Ekstraklasa.TV.
