Radosław Szymanik
Former Captain of the Polish National Team in Davis Cup
He has been very closely involved with tennis for over 20 years. He started as a player, but his greatest triumphs were as a coach. First, he was in charge of training youth teams in the PZT and then, for 12 years until 2019, he was the captain of the Polish national team during successive editions of the Davis Cup. From 2009 to 2013, he coached the Fyrstenberg-Matkowski doubles pair, with whom he reached the US Open final in 2011 and the ATP Masters final in London, as well as numerous wins in ATP 250, 500 and 1000 tournaments. From 2014 to 2019, he coached Marcin Matkowski. In addition, Radoslaw coached the men’s national team at the IOs in London and Rio de Janeiro. Since 2021, he has been President of the Board of Directors of the Arka Gdynia Tennis Club, as well as Vice President of the Polish Pickleball Association.
